- Best AnswerEverything Your computer will stay there, it is a good idea to upgrade to snow leopard. If you go to the snow leopard page, you should see all the wonderful features.
- Yes! Snow Leopard is currently the earliest supported software, so not only would you be able to take advantage of its extra features, but it will make your machine compatible with the new iOS devices (they require the latest version of iTunes, which is'nt currently available on 10.5.8).
- Upgrade it!
If you upgrade it, it will still have your information on it unless you delete by going to Disk Utility on your boot up (Command+R is the key on boot up). - It should be a relatively seamless change from Leopard to Snow Leopard, however I would recommend using Time Machine and a appropriately sized external Hard Drive to back up everything first. Computers are pretty reliable nowadays, but sometimes things happen that are beyond Apple's and your control, and it's best to back things up first.
As for your existing applications and programs on your computer, everything should run fine after the upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard.
